Five Year Ago This Morning…
I had to wait for a check to post to my bank…and that was after waiting past a weekend and a holiday. I enrolled as an ASEA associate five years ago this morning…and have never second guessed or felt an ounce of regret about that decision.
ASEA represents a huge step forward in what it means to take care of ourselves. It is simple yet complicated, profound yet accessible, it is out in the open and yet still somewhat a secret. Though not for much longer.
I am grateful to everyone at ASEA, past and present, for working so hard to build towards the noble vision of spreading this breakthrough as far and wide and fast as possible – all whilst creating a culture so many of us are proud of. A place to hang our proverbial hat and in good conscience invite others to do the same.
My heart is filled with gratitude for the people I have met. For so many that I can call friends. The word friend has been diluted by social media and hyper paced culture. But to have true friends dotted across a large map is quite the juxtaposition for the broke and brokenhearted guy that enrolled five years ago. I am excited about who I will meet and become friends with in the next five years.
There is no such thing as fake it till you make it. Instead, achieve as you become – is far more accurate. I am a flawed person and many of those imperfections have shown up in my endeavors over the last five years. One of the best lessons of this journey thus far is learning the importance of separating the recognition of a flaw from feelings of shame. It is that distinction that makes way for self-improvement.
One thing is certain. The Best Is Yet To Come. The pioneering is all but over. The next five years will spell M-O-M-E-N-T-U-M.
Some people need to see that happen first to believe in it. Some people may question the veracity of this moment in time relative to what is coming, wondering if the work is worth it. I am nowhere near great at this – yet. But I have never doubted that this company would hit a Tipping Point and that would equal great outcomes for those that have vision and get to work beforehand.
ASEA represents hope and prosperity in a world that desperately needs more of both. I am honored to be carving my piece of this legacy with so many other visionaries.
Thank You Julianne.
